Maple Burl, Amboyna Burl, Black Palm, and Cumaru Combination Knife Scales - s-308
$36.00
Top: Silver maple burl (dyed)
Middle: Black palm, amboyna burl (dyed), and 8 layers of vulcanized fiber
Bottom: Cumaru (dyed)
.33” x 5-3/4” x 1-5/8”
Bolivian rosewood is intentionally not stabilized. The wood is naturally super dense and stabilizing causes the natural oils in the wood to leach out and make it waxy.
Made in Greenville, SC.
Scales are wet with denatured alcohol to show grain for photo.
Due to the grain texture of wenge and some burl woods, there may be microscopic voids visible on the surface of scales. I attempt to fill all voids that may naturally occur in the wood but the tiny ones may slip through. These tiny surface voids will mostly be removed when you shape your handles.
